We completed these two clean outs on behalf of the National Trust in West Sussex.
One of the ponds had become sedimented with silts from run off from the Downs and the other had suffered form the ingress of reed mace and bulrushes.
Over the period of a week the water was pumped down and both ponds carefully excavated to remove the silts and reed. These were placed around agreed sections of the adjoining banks to dry and biodegrade thus negating the need for costly and disruptive muck away.
